Before joining Jindal Steel Ltd., Debojyoti Roy built an illustrious career across the Tata Steel ecosystem, holding senior leadership roles at Tata Steel Group, Tata Steel UK, Tata Steel BSL, and Tata Steel India. His journey spans corporate strategy, large-scale business transformation, operational excellence, restructuring, and global operations, where he consistently drove enterprise-wide alignment, performance improvement, and strategic growth across complex manufacturing environments.
Debojyoti holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from North-Eastern Hill University (NERIST), Itanagar, and a PGDM in Operations & HR from Xavier Institute of Management (XIM Bhubaneswar). He further strengthened his leadership capabilities through the Tata Group Executive Leadership Seminar in Business Strategy at the University of Michigan – Stephen M. Ross School of Business, reflecting his strong blend of technical depth and strategic acumen.
